We’ve been staying with a friend at the seaside in Kent for a few days. I was helping out with some decorating at their new house. But that was beneath Cyril and Stan, who wandered off to the beach and had a lazy afternoon relaxing in their deck chairs while I was working hard!
The chaps have been getting in to the spirit of Burns Night by playing some Scottish jigs on their accordion and bagpipes. I’m glad they’ve got the hang of it now, they were making a terrible racket when they first started practising!
It’s been very cold recently. Cyril and Stan are getting fed up with shivering all the time, so today they decided to start knitting a couple of blankets to keep themselves warm. Stan’s will be the white one – it’s coming along nicely and is nearly finished. They enjoyed a good natter while the blanket took shape.
Cyril and Stan have never seen snow before, so they were quite confused when they stepped out of the house this morning. They wondered why the ground was all cold and crunchy. Have fun, chaps – it might not last!
