Day #234

Day #234Title: The Twisted Tree
Location: Chipping Ongar, Essex
Camera: Bencini Comet III
Film: Kodak Verichrome Pan 125 – Expired 07/69
Notes: I’ve been experimenting with some very old expired film in my Bencini Comet – it’s essentially just a point-and-shoot box with a fixed shutter speed, aperture and focus. I acquired the film from eBay a while back – it’s nearly as old as me! This fantastic old tree proved a great subject while walking the Essex Way near Chipping Ongar. I loved the textured effect which the tired film produced.

Day #232

Day #232Title: Slow Down
Location: Beaumont Otes, Essex
Camera: Yashica 44 Silver Grey / Yashikor 60mm f/3.5
Film: Rera Pan 100
Notes: I was walking some local footpaths this evening as part of The Big Pathwatch. My route required me to walk on some of the country roads for a short while – sadly, the cars come buzzing along at high speed, despite instructions to do otherwise.

Day #229

Day #229Title: The Bridge To Baddow Meads
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Camera: Yashica 44 Silver Grey / Yashikor 60mm f/3.5
Film: Rera Pan 100
Notes: It was a lovely day for a wander over to Baddow Meads. This little bridge takes the footpath across a small stream before the flood plain proper opens up before you – thankfully not flooded at the moment.

Day #228

Day #228Title: The Long & Winding Road
Location: Stow Maries, Essex
Camera: Zeiss Ikon Nettar II / Novar-Anastigmat 75mm f/4.5
Film: Ilford FP4 125
Notes: This was taken during a walk between Cold Norton and Stow Maries. There were WWI bi-planes buzzing overhead, on display from nearby Stow Maries airfield. But I chose to show you the empty, winding roads as the planes were very small in my viewfinder.
