Day #245

Day #245Title: High Tension, High Clouds
Location: Sandon, Essex
Camera: Agfa Jsolette V / Agfa Agnar 85mm f/4.5
Film: Ilford FP4 125
Notes: A quick walk around Sandon today, surveying some footpaths for The Big Pathwatch. The clouds were moody. I was testing out my Agfa Jsolette V which was given to me a few weeks ago by a friend from Ingatestone Camera Club. He also donated several rolls of 120 black and white film, which was handy! This shot makes a good one for Treasure Hunt Theme #47 – Tension.

Day #228

Day #228Title: The Long & Winding Road
Location: Stow Maries, Essex
Camera: Zeiss Ikon Nettar II / Novar-Anastigmat 75mm f/4.5
Film: Ilford FP4 125
Notes: This was taken during a walk between Cold Norton and Stow Maries. There were WWI bi-planes buzzing overhead, on display from nearby Stow Maries airfield. But I chose to show you the empty, winding roads as the planes were very small in my viewfinder.

Day #186

Day #186Title: Big Buick Grille
Location: Promenade Park, Maldon
Camera: Haking Halina Prefect / Haking’s Double Meniscus f/8
Film: Ilford FP4 125
Notes: Today I visited the Maldon Classic Car show – and got lots of colourful digital shots of the old machines. But I also took my Halina Prefect 120 box camera along for a spin. I have been waiting for a sunny day to go out and play with it, and this was the best excuse. For a simple box camera with fixed shutter speed of 1/50s (ish), only three aperture settings to choose from (f/8, f/11 or f/16) and fixed focus, it did a pretty good job of capturing the shiny chrome and curves. The guy who did my developing didn’t believe it was taken on a box camera! Ha!
