Clevedon is a pretty coastal town in Somerset, overlooking the Bristol Channel and Welsh coast opposite. It has a fine Grade I Listed Victorian pier which opened in 1869. It stands at 841ft (257m) and has been lovingly restored after years of neglect during the 1970’s when two spans collapsed. You can read more on the history of Clevedon Pier on the NPS website. Read more about my visit to the pier on 12th June.
