Caching In Colchester

With the promise of a cold but sunny day, Alistair and I decided to take a day out in Colchester to do some geocaching and have a photowalk. The weather certainly didn’t disappoint. Here are some of the best:

A London Walk: Aldwych, Shoreditch & Camden

I had several errands to run in London today, between Aldwych, Shoreditch and Camden. It was a lovely sunny day so I decided to walk between the various locations (I had the time) rather than squashing onto the tube. One part of my route took me along the Regent’s Canal past King’s Cross, a part of London which I had not explored before.

The next FDT from my BBC Television Centre stash taken on 30th April. This is what used to be Main Reception until they built the new extension on the front of TVC in the late 90’s. This bit has been known as Stage Door ever since then, but I still remember first setting foot in the place in about 1988 and the reception desk (which was in front of the stripy wooden wall) was manned by fearsome ladies who ruled the place with a rod of iron. The Silent Escalators are just off the LHS of the picture.
