It’s been nearly eighteen months since I last went to Brick Lane on a photowalk, so today I joined the GNPC folks for another trip to London. It was very hot but I managed to dodge into the shade whenever possible. I tried to get some more stranger portraits but despite there being plenty of options, I wasn’t really in the right mood. I did however find some great graffiti!
GNPC organised a trip to Heybridge Basin last night and it was very well attended. We went last summer, and decided to return again. There was some interesting light just as we arrived, and it then clouded over for a bit (time to grab some dinner at the local pub). eventually the sun poked through once more before finally setting for the evening.
I was very pleased to be able to add another stranger to my project – At is from Holland [see above] and had sailed over from the Hook! You can see his portrait and full story on my Strangers Blog.
I was also testing out the Canon 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM lens which a friend had lent me for a few days. It’s very good for getting everything in when you’re working in a confined space. I’m impressed and am investigating getting one for myself!
Here is a selection of my other images from the evening:
