Despite a rotten weather forecast, as it was my birthday, Alistair and I decided to head out to one of our favourite pubs for lunch – The Fish & Eels at Dobb’s Weir. The food was very tasty, here are a couple of images I made during lunch:
The rain had abated slightly by the time we had finished eating, so we took a very quick walk along the towpath to find a nearby geocache. I was attracted to these two curly ropes on the roof of one of the canal barges on the way there:
The dry spell didn’t last long, so we fled back to the car and home rather than drowning!
I spent a few hours in Bath this afternoon, dropping off my portfolio at the Royal Photographic Society in preparation for my FRPS distinction assessment in October. Afterwards, as it was sunny, I went for a wander around the town with my Panasonic GF5, recently acquired as a replacement to my GF1.
I also enjoyed a rather good cream tea in Bill’s before getting the train back home again. Here are the rest of the images from the afternoon:
