Photo A Day

I spent a very pleasant couple of hours this afternoon wandering around the pretty village of Dedham testing out my new Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR and 17-40mm EF f/4 L USMlens. It was a beautiful sunny day so I got some good shots outside and within the church.
Here are the rest of my shots from the walk:
I will do a proper review of the gear later, but for the moment, all I can say is it’s fantastic.
Title: Tactile Textures
Location: Dedham Church, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 50mm EF f/1.4 USM
Notes: The textures of the old wooden door at Dedham Church are fantastic! They just make you want to reach out and stroke it. And despite the dimness inside the porch, the 5D coped incredibly well even at ISO2500.
Title: Golden Face
Location: Barbican Centre, London
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 50mm EF f/1.4 USM
Notes: This is a big-faced sculpture buried in the depths of the Barbican Centre.
Fortune Street Park has some funky modern playground equipment. The sun was out this morning and throwing long shadows on the floor, so I threw myself down there too for a quick FDT shot.
