After much rain this month, photoshoots have been few and far between. So it was good to see a decent spell of sunny weather over the last few days. After work, I’ve been roaming about in London, taking the new Cable Car across Docklands from Royal Victoria Docks to the Greenwich peninsula, catching Tower Bridge wearing its fancy Olympic Rigns and enjoying the atmosphere of Fitzrovia bedecked with bunting:

Today I met up with some friends from the Chelmsford Photowalk group for a shoot at the Maldon Classic Car show along the Promenade Gardens. There were plenty of shiny vehicles to lust over, including some excellent examples from 1950’s/60’s America. I enjoyed homing in on some of the details of the cars:

The month was reasonably busy for photoshoots, the first of which was my overnight shoot in Paris. Then I had a little outing to the newly-opened Epping to Ongar Steam Railway with my Dad one Saturday. We were scouting out likely locations for taking pictures of the trains going by, but also enjoyed a ride on one of the preserved trains.
Our mid-month outing with GNPC saw quite a large crowd of us descend on Heybridge Basin for an evening shoot. It was very windy, quite cold and very flat light, but I managed a few interesting shots, again homing in on details of things in the boatyard for best results.
I also enjoyed a geocaching walk around Ingatestone Hall and Buttsbury, which proved quite fertile photographically:
At the end of the month, I managed two photoshoots in the same day! Firstly, visiting Hyde Hall with family.

In the evening I went with GNPC for an other outing to Maldon Quayside where we saw local Morris side Dark Horse performing, as well as enjoying the nautical sights of the town.
