Splashing Again

I had a problem with my Camera Axe Valve sensor recently. Maurice from Dreaming Robots helped me track down the issue after it suddenly stopped working – fault-finding lead to the conclusion the valve had died. So he shipped me another FoC and it arrived today. Thanks for the great customer service, Maurice! Anyway, I wanted to try it out this evening, so had a go at a few more crown splashes in the studio – this time on my newly-acquired black perspex. They turned out pretty well. Here are a few which nearly made it for Day #1437:

I was using water/xantham gum in the dropper, coloured with a bit of red food dye. On the landing zone was a mixture of double cream and other drops of food dye. You get some interesting interactions when the less dense liquid splashes onto the cream and begins to spread. I quite like the textures in these series.
