It’s ages since I’ve been to Bath. It’s a beautiful place, and I have spent many hours in the RPS Darkroom over the years – a resource long-defunct, sadly, but often didn’t see much of the city itself.
The last weekend of October saw the third annual BarCamp in Bath – otherwise known as BathCamp3. So we took the opportunity to stay over on Friday night as well as having a photowalk on Saturday and Sunday during the BarCamp, in between the rain showers.
Incidentally, the first BathCamp in 2008 was directly responsible for Alistair’s Duck 365 Project, and therefore indirectly responsible for my Daily Dragon shots. These folks have a lot to answer for! 😉
Here are the weekend’s best shots:
Another prolific month photographically, largely due to my fantastic holiday in Scotland. There was also the soggy day out in Maldon which co-incided with my reaching Day #1000. There were a couple of shots from the Maldon shoot which stood out, and this slick slick nearly made the big 1000 (I liked it a lot, but it would have been rather similar to my Day #76 image):
The big milestone is not something I was ever aiming at when I started back in 2008, it’s just that I forgot to stop when I should have!
The only other photographic trip of note during the month was an evening cruise on the Thames, which produced some quite interesting stuff. This one was a possible alternative for Day #990. After all:
If you can’t beat a slow shutter speed, you might as well join it! Me!
