March '09 Review

The month began with a tour around Temple Newsam, a stately home east of Leeds, while I was attending PhotoCampLeeds. We had the opportunity to have a tour and freely take pictures as we liked. There were many details I liked, and this could easily have been a candidate for Day #426‘s image:

The weekend after my trip to Leeds saw me chasing steam trains at the North Norfolk Railway with my dad. They were having a Steam Gala with lots of different visiting engines in steam. Here’s another one taken on Day #433:

Another busy weekend followed – I went with the Great Notley Photographic Club on a day out to Leigh-on-Sea. We had a wonderfully sunny day and plenty of image were shot. Whilst we were photographing the mudflats, some students ventured out onto the mud to take some photos of their own. I managed to catch this girl as she was jumping – it was a strong contender for Day #440:

22nd March was another Chelmsford Photo Walk, and a few of us Flickr friends met for a stroll along the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation from Moulsham Mill to Barnes Mill Lock. It was in complete contrast to the floods we had seen a few weeks earlier! This image of barbed wire caught my eye for Day #447:

I decided to have a play with some Lego on Day #451, thanks to the impending BarCampLondon6. Indy won the day for my best image, but I also liked these colourful Lego folks:
