Having reached the heady heights of Day #400 with the Photo A Day project, I thought I should do a quick review of last month.
It was book-ended by some freezing weather, which is always good for some atmospheric shots. I had a particularly good day on 6th Jan when I caught some great frosty scenes at Audley End before a meeting. Some alternatives which nearly made it on Day #372 were these:
[Confused Ducks on the frozen pond, Great Dunmow]
[Stables at Audley End]
I love the low winter lighting, which gives warm tones and great raking shadows across the ground.
More nature on Day #383 when I took a ramble in the woods near Leaden Roding:
[The path leads you through the image]
Something completely different was taken in London in Spitalfields Market on Day #386:
[Abstract Light Patterns are part of the decorations at the newly-refurbished Spitalfields Market.]
And finally back to some nature for Day #389, when it had been raining incessantly:
[A droplet on the twists of a Clematis stem]
Even though I was pretty busy during the month, I was still able to get out from time to time for some interesting shots. It remains to be seen what February brings!
