As well as the usual two photos a day, during May I also participated in Mono MayHem which meant another black and white image per day to dream up. No pressure! I really enjoyed it again (having done MoNovember last year). Here’s what I produced:
Title: New Broadcasting House Location: Portland Place, London Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Notes: First day of a new contract at the BBC’s new building at Broadcasting House today. This is the impressive new extension to the original Art Deco structure. It’s changed a bit since I was last here.
Title: Reach Out Location: The Bringey, Great Baddow Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Notes: A random but attractive bit of graffiti I found during a bike ride this afternoon.
Title: Curvature Location: Brewhouse Yard, Clerkenwell Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Notes: What happens when the shadow of a straight object is projected onto a curved surface?
Title: View From The Water Location: Heybridge Basin Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM Notes: Went on a lovely cruise down the canal today and this was a shot I got from the boat.
Title: Cairn In The Woods Location: At home Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-s f/2.8 USM Strobist: 1 x YN560 from each side through Stofen diffuser @ 1/64; 1 x YN560 from above through DIY Softbox @ 1/64 Notes: An exercise in balance. About all I was capable of today, due to feeling poorly. The rocks are some I picked up from the beach at Westward Ho! during a trip to Devon and Cornwall in 2007.
