Day 255 – Ferry Excited

Time to go home
Time to go home

Although we have had a lovely holiday, we are now ready to go home to our own beds. So we set off early this morning on another long ferry ride from Barra to Oban, before Caz drove us to Carlisle for our last night away from home.

We got quite excited and thought we would sit at the back of the boat and watch the ocean roll by, but it turned out to be very windy. Caz was worried that me and Leo might get blown overboard, so she took us inside and we found a nice big seat to snuggle in while she looked at her photos from the trip on her computer.

Day 254 – Seaweed Wrap?

This is a bit smelly!

We have heard that people pay good money to relax and get wrapped in seaweed, so we thought we would try it out for free as there is so much of the stuff around the coast. So Caz took me and Leo to the beach and we found some seaweed. But it smelled a bit funny, and we decided not to wrap ourselves up as it might make us pong for the rest of the day!

Day 253 – Watching The Waves

This evening we got another little ferry to an island called Barra. Caz got very excited because she knew there was going to be a lovely sunset, so she took us to a big sandy beach where we could get a good view. Me and Leo sat and enjoyed the spectacle while she ran around taking pictures like a thing possessed. It thought she was supposed to be on holiday?!

Day 252 – Ceilidh Time!

We thought we would have a go at entertaining Caz with some local music. Leo saw a man playing bagpipes the other day and fancied a go, and I found an accordion to play along with. We played lots of tunes, but eventually Caz said we would have to go out as the sun was now shining. What a shame – we were having a lovely time!

Day 250 – Mountaineering

Today we climbed a big hill in Eriskay called Beinn Sciathan. It was a long hike, but the view from the top was lovely, if a bit windy. This is me and Leo admiring the view. We also found some tupperware at the top – which could have been the reason that Caz dragged us up there in the first place! She’s not sayin’.
