Notes: Encouraged by the promise of a sunny day, I took off to visit Hyde Hall gardens. I had a lovely wander around the grounds, making the most of the balmy weather. There isn’t a lot of colour left in my garden by this time of year, but I managed to find some here – the Chinese Lanterns were beginning to go to seed, but I love their bright vibrant orange against the blue sky. Perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #39 – A Colourful Garden.

Notes: The annual Geek Steam BBQ was held today at the North London Society of Model Engineers‘ track at Colney Heath. We had lots of fun driving steam trains and enjoying the BBQ. They let me loose with Arthur, this little orange engine, who behaved himself very nicely. Perfect for this week’s 52 Weeks Theme, Trains/Buses/Public Transport.

Notes: Taken while looking for geocaches along the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation at Ulting. The orange strap on my GPS clashes horribly with my pink top – but makes it perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #44 – Clashing Colours.
