Title: Three 365 “Lifers”
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-135mm EF-S f3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Gorillapod / Wireless Remote
Notes: I spent a very convivial afternoon with fellow 365 “Lifer” touchingthelight Ken, chatting about photography, eating cake and taking a walk in South Hill Park after the rain stopped. Later we were joined by another serial 365’er Red Kite Caroline for dinner. Then we all set off for Bracknell Camera Club where Ken gave his Project Infinity lecture. As usual he was inspirational even to those of us who have been going for what seems like forever!

Title: Pulverising A Pumpkin!
Location: Cambridgeshire
Camera: GoPro Hero 3+ Black
Extras: Tiny Magnetic Gorillapod / Wireless Remote
Notes: I never got round to doing anything with last week’s pumpkin. I thought I would bring it with me so Victoria and I could make use of it. First, we had to get all the seeds and pith out – the fun had only just started! In the end, we managed to dice enough pumpkin to make muffins today and have enough left for pumpkin pie tomorrow.

Title: Tales From The Reading Room
Location: Cambridgeshire
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Tripod / Wireless Remote
Notes: Today I travelled to Cambridgeshire to stay with one of my oldest friends for a few days. We met aged 11 at secondary school, and have been friends ever since. We don’t see each other that often these days, but when we do (or call on the phone), we pick up the conversation just where we last left off! Victoria is a book lover and writes about literature at her blog, Tales From The Reading Room. Here you can see us relaxing on the new sofa, discussing books, life and other stuff.

Day #300
Title: Relaxing With Friends
Location: Upper Beeding
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Gorillapod / Wirelesss Remote
Notes: I spent the day photographing more piers on the south coast (Bognor Regis, Worthing and two in Brighton), making the most of the sunny weather. Then I headed to stay overnight with good friends Ken and Carolyn, rather than driving the long slog home by road. As ever, they were delightful hosts. It’s the first time I’ve seen them in person since my workshop trip to Spain back in March, which they lead. We enjoyed much catch-up chat and a glass or two of the good stuff. And as a milestone day for this year (Day #300) it was nice to share it with folks who “understand” – Ken is one of the few of the original stalwarts who started in our 2008 group and has continued with making a photo a day ever since (we are both fast approaching Day #2500 next week!).
