Day #311

Day #311Title: It’s All Dad’s Fault!
Location: Wivenhoe, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 17-85mm EF-S f4-5.6 IS USM
Extras: Tripod / Self-Timer
Notes: Way back on Day #38 I explained that it had been a decade since I started using a digital SLR. But my interest in photography goes back way beyond that. While I was growing up, Dad was rarely to be seen without a camera in hand – his particular interest being preserved heritage railways and industrial steam of the Midlands before the old engines disappeared (he even co-authored two books on the subject in the  1970’s). So photography has always been in my blood, I suspect! Here we are at my parents’ with a few examples of his prolific output. Perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #55 – An Inheritance.

Day #118

Day #118Title: Shhhh! The Cameras Are Sleeping…
Location: BBC Elstree
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Gorillapod / Wireless Remote
Notes: The set is being put in the studio over the next few days. Meanwhile, the cameras are lurking in a corner having a quick snooze before their hard work begins. Much like parrots, if you put a cloth over them, they settle down and go quietly to sleep rather than kicking up a fuss. Little known TV fact, honest!
