Day #178

Day #178Title: The Grand Piano
Location: House For An Art Lover, Glasgow, Scotland
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Extras: Mini Tripod / Wireless Remote
Notes: It was my last day in Glasgow with an evening flight, so I made the most of tmy time by revisiting two favourite places designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. This was in the magnificent Music Room of the House For An Art Lover in Bellahouston Park, I’ve always loved Mackintosh’s work. Getting to the house just as it opened meant I had the place almost to myself for about half an hour. Then I headed back into the centre of Glasgow for tea and cake at the Willow Tea Rooms before setting off for the airport on the bus.

Notes: We spent the afternoon on a sunny geoaching walk around the villages of Chappel & Wakes Colne and taking some pictures of the famous viaduct which spans the Colne Valley, before heading to Halstead for an evening Geocachers’ meetup. The sun was in exactly the right place for a picture pointing straight down the viaduct piers.
