Day #249

Day #249Title: A Crazy Idea
Location: The Falkirk Wheel, Central Scotland
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Humanpod / Wireless Remote
Notes: I’ve been wanting to visit The Falkirk Wheel for ages. Since it is less than an hour’s drive from where we are staying near Glasgow, a trip there today was a must. And the sun even came out! It’s an amazing construction but a completely bonkers idea.

Day #240

Day #240Title: Kindertransport
Location: Liverpool Street Station
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Gorillapod / Wireless Remote
Notes: A quick shot as I was passing through Liverpool Street Station this evening on my way home. This is part of the Kindertransport statue on the station concourse, commemorating the rescue of thousands of Jewish children just before the outbreak of the Second World War. I thought it would make a good shot for the current 52 Weeks Theme, Statuary.

Day #235

Day #235Title: Driver Caz & The Orange Engine
Location: Colney Heath, Hertfordshire
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Tripod / CamRanger
Notes: The annual Geek Steam BBQ was held today at the North London Society of Model Engineers‘ track at Colney Heath. We had lots of fun driving steam trains and enjoying the BBQ. They let me loose with Arthur, this little orange engine, who behaved himself very nicely. Perfect for this week’s 52 Weeks Theme, Trains/Buses/Public Transport.

Day #202

Day #202Title: Boats On The Thames
Location: Embankment, London
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Gorillapod / Wireless Remote
Notes: After work I took a leisurely walk along the banks of the Thames from Westminster to Blackfriars, just because I had the time and the weather was good. This was by the London Eye, with a bit of fill-in flash, to balance the exposure. Perfect for the current 52 Weeks ThemeBoats.
