Title: Sunny In Shoreham
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex
Camera: GoPro Hero 3+ Black

Notes: I went for a wander around Shoreham this morning with Ken and Carolyn. As well as enjoying the sunshine, we stopped on the new Adur Ferry Bridge to admire the view. At least I was vaguely looking at the camera!

Title: Relaxing With Friends
Location: Upper Beeding
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Gorillapod / Wirelesss Remote
Notes: I spent the day photographing more piers on the south coast (Bognor Regis, Worthing and two in Brighton), making the most of the sunny weather. Then I headed to stay overnight with good friends Ken and Carolyn, rather than driving the long slog home by road. As ever, they were delightful hosts. It’s the first time I’ve seen them in person since my workshop trip to Spain back in March, which they lead. We enjoyed much catch-up chat and a glass or two of the good stuff. And as a milestone day for this year (Day #300) it was nice to share it with folks who “understand” – Ken is one of the few of the original stalwarts who started in our 2008 group and has continued with making a photo a day ever since (we are both fast approaching Day #2500 next week!).

Title: A Change In Circumstance
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Tripod / CamRanger
Notes: What a difference a day makes! From vamp to tramp in one fell swoop. It could happen to any of us given a few things going wrong at once. A shot conceived for this week’s 52 Weeks challenge, Change.

Title: Not Your Average “Essex Girl”
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Tripod / CamRanger / 2x Yongnuo YN560 Flashes
Notes: Born and bred in Essex I may be, but thankfully I do not conform to the infamous Essex Girl stereotype! For starters, I would break my ankle (and probably my neck) if I ever wore stilettos. And there’s plenty on my mind other than shopping, make-up and getting paralytically drunk on a Friday night. I knew I would need a few props for this shot, and had been looking for something suitable for quite a while. A trip to the quintessential Essex town, Billericay, proved very fruitful today. (Got to love the charity shops). Anyway, this is the first (and last) pair of stilettos I have ever owned. Along with the garish handbag, they will be re-donated to a nearby worthy cause very soon! A great image for Treasure Hunt Theme #10 – Once A Month – October.
