Day #3140

Day #3140Title: Pontycyllte Aqueduct
Location: Pontycyllte, Wrexham
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I took my fold up geo-bike for a trip along the Llangollen canal today, finding lots of lovely geocaches. I started off in Chirk and cycled north then west towards Llangollen itself. En route, I had to cross the Pontycyllte Aqueduct, a magnificent feat of engineering which was completed in 1805. It’s Britain’s longest and highest aqueduct, and a Grade I listed building. I don’t mind heights, but some folks were clearly a bit phased having to walk along the path.
