Title: The Old House
Location: Histon, Cambridgeshire
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: The Old House in Histon dates from the 16th Century and apparently has two priest holes within its walls. It looks like an amazing place to call home. Perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #64 – Homely.

Title: Peeping Through
Location: Hill House, Helensburgh
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It’s years since I last visited Hill House, one of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Art Noveau masterpiece. So I thought I would go back today as I had some spare time. Unfortunately, they do not allow photography inside the house, but it’s OK in the grounds. This is an iconic detail from one of the perimeter walls, with little flowers peeping through the gap. A great shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #74 – A Gap In The Fence.

Title: Lizard Of London
Location: London Wall
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: I had to walk between Liverpool Street and Farringdon this morning, due to the Tube Strike. I haven’t been along London Wall for a while and noticed this new lizard has appeared on the side of the roundabout at the Museum of London.

Title: La Casa Abandonada
Location: La Malahá, Andalucia, Spain
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Notes: Having picked up my hire car from the airport today, rather than head straight down the motorway, I decided to explore some of the back roads and do some geocaching on the way to Órgiva. One box was placed near this deserted old villa at the site of the Roman Baths in La Malahá. I wasn’t expecting to do any urbex during my trip to Spain, so it was a nice surprise to find somewhere so easily accessible.

Location: Dedham, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Notes: A big shiny red trike I spotted during a walk around Dedham with Mum this afternoon. Wouldn’t mind a ride on that!

Title: Growing In The Wall
Location: Sandon Churchyard, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Lots of chores today, but I managed a quick trip out late this afternoon to look for some pictures. This little clump of Primula vulgaris were clinging on in a crack in a brick wall in Sandon Churchyard. I thought they made a good shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #41 – Urban Opportunist.
