Day #2088

Day #2088Title: Shadows In The Underpass
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF5 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Pancake
Notes: A few shadowy figures approach the light at the end of the tunnel… I thought they made a good candidate for Treasure Hunt Theme #47 – Film Noir.

Day #2046Title: Pink Clouds & Grasses
Location: Galleywood Common
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: I had plenty of location opportunities for pictures in London today, but not nearly enough time to take advantage of them. So by the time I got back to the station on the way home, I had not made a single image. Not wishing to resort to some macro shots in the studio, I took a detour while driving home and evoentually the sunset presented itself in a pleasing manner at my favourite sunset watching spot on Galleywood Common. The barbed wire and grasses provided a bit of foreground interest.

Day #1926Title: Face Down Tuesday (Political Fatigue Edition)
Location: Millbank, London
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: It’s a while since I last did an FDT shot and the last time I did one in a TV Studio was in N9 at Television Centre for Day #1555 while we were preparing for the last Election programme. As TVC is mostly shut now, we will do the show from the BBC’s Political Unit at Millbank this year, so I’ve been there for a few days starting the setup. I had been moving furniture for most of the afternoon, feeling rather fatigued by it all and needed a lie down. You can see my accomplice Monica fooling around making shadow play behind the back projector screen.

Day #1923Title: Millbank View
Location: Millbank, London
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: Another long day at work today. I had time for a quick walk along the river at Millbank to make a few pictures before the sun went down. I liked the way this tree in the park framed the scene.

Day #1865 Title: Scudding Clouds
Location: Great Notley Country Park
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 45-200mm f/4-5.6 IOS
Notes: It was cold cold cold this afternoon while I spent some time walking around the environs of Great Notley Country Park, looking for a few geocaches. Even after retiring to the pub for a pot of tea, it took me ages to warm up. The clouds here were scudding by providing some interest in the sky.

Day #1862 Title: Treeline And Clouds
Location: Southminster
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 45-200mm f/4-5.6 IOS
Notes: Today’s geocaching outing was a walk around Southminster. It was sunny at times, but fantastically windy! This was an interesting little scene half way around the loop. We enjoyed a hearty cup of tea and toasties in Burnham at the end.
