Day #2164

Day #2164Title: On The Edge Of Focus
Location: Whitecross Place, London
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: It’s that Airstream caravan in Whitecross Place again – just on the edge of focus this time. I liked the soft bokeh of the lights beyond.

Day #2109Title: Reflections Of TRON
Location: Whitecross Place, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF5 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Pancake
Notes: The nights are definitely drawing in now. Dusk was descending as I left work around 6pm. This was the view in Whitecross Place this evening as I passed through on the way to the station. The lovely moving coloured checkerboard lights were reflected in the dusty old Airstream caravan I photographed on Day #2066.

Day #2034Title: Ride The Wave
Location: Blackpool, Lancashire
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: I finally arrived in Blackpool this afternoon and met up with Alistair before we headed off to the pre-BarCampBlackpool nosh in the centre of town. The venue was near this sculpture, The Wave, which provided a striking image for the day. The Cybermen enjoyed their day at the seaside too. And I found some interesting North Shore Shadows for my mono shot today.

Day #2033Title: Stainless See-Saw
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had a meeting in Bracknell this morning and took the opportunity to have a wander around the local park during the afternoon, before setting off on my journey to the Midlands for an overnight stop on the way to Blackpool. I found this funky stainless steel see-saw in the playground which rather took my fancy. The Cybermen started their holiday today too.

Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Strobist: 1 x YN560 obliquely from left and right, through Stofen diffuser @ 1/32
Notes: The only excuse for today’s image is to illustrate a terrible pun. Apologies.

Day #1917Title: Copper, Iron & Ceramic
Location: Museum Of Power, Langford
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: I enjoyed a day out at the Museum of Power in Langford, with the Chelmsford Photowalk folks. There was loads of things to see and machines to watch as they whirred and span. I loved the bottle green ceramic tiles behind this shiny copper and iron plumbing.
