Day #2144

Day #2144Title: It’s Gone Green
Location: Ingatestone Station
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: I’ve photographed the footbridge at Ingatestone Station on many occasions, the last just 99 days ago on Day #2045 when it had just had a fresh coat of blue paint. To my surprise, it’s now been painted a horrible sludgy green! Not sure why. But the long low shadows made it look interesting as I crossed this morning.

Day #2066Title: Aistream 1264
Location: Broadgate, London
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: There’s a coffee vendor which operates from this Airstream caravan near Liverpool Street station, but it doesn’t often seem to be open. I decided to go in close for some of the iconic shapes today.

Day #2045Title: The Handrail
Location: Ingatestone Station
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: The crusty old Victorian footbridge on Ingatestone Station has just had its handrails painted. The vibrant yellow is a fantastic contrast with the blue of the structure. My August images have so far been quite subdued, so I thought it was time to choose a more colourful subject for today. This morning’s sunshine also provided some contrasting shadows. It makes a great image for Treasure Hunt Theme #28 – Complimentary Colours.
