Day #2162

Day #2162Title: The Billericay Crier
Location: Billericay, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Notes: Today was the Billericay Christmas Festival with market stalls, a procession and other festive goings-on in the High Street all day. I met up with some friends for a photowalk and although it was pretty cold, we pottered about and had a good time. I managed to find Stranger #31 for my street portraits project. The Town Crier opened the proceedings. Here he is in full shouty flow. I made the colour pop to reduce the distractions from the background.

Day #2133Title: Rockets Reflected
Location: Lake Meadows, Billericay
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: A cold and windy evening out today, at the firework display in Billericay with a friend from the Chelmsford Flickr group. We got a grand spot across the water from the crowd (having pulled some strings with the organisers). This meant there was plenty of opportunity for reflections of the fireworks too. So today you get rockets the right way up and upside down. Another image for Treasure Hunt Theme #54 – Upside Down. See more pictures from the evening.

Day #2123Title: Two Conkers On A Bench
Location: Norsey Wood, Billericay
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Notes: I visited another local woodland this afternoon in search of more autumnal subjects. I happened across these two shiny conkers on a bench, they must have been where they fell. I loved their contrasting colour with the the green and brown of the wood.
