Title: Through The Square Window
Location: Heybridge Basin
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I enjoyed an evening photoshoot with the folks from GNPC today. We went to Heybridge Basin which is always good for photographic opportunities. Several of us were also in need of some dinner, and so we ordered food at The Jolly Sailor and sat outside waiting for it. Initially, the light was rather flat and boring so we didn’t mind not taking picutres, but then the sun broke through and the food still hadn’t arrived! I took this shot of the pub door from the outside table whilst waiting for my plate to arrive. One of the three themes we were looking for during the shoot was squares, so this fitted the bill nicely. I was also very pleased to have found another willing stranger for my project before everyone else turned up.

Title: In The Corner
Location: Paycocke’s, Coggeshall
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 70-200 EF f/4 L USM
Notes: A large group of members from the GNPC went out this evening for a photoshoot in Coggeshall. We were given three themes to shoot if we wanted to – Red, Texture and Rectangles. Just before the light went completely, I managed to get this shot of a corner window in Paycocke’s, the NT property in the town, built around 1500. I thought it fitted the Texture theme very well.

Title: South Hall
Location: TV Centre, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: The staircase and window in the South Hall of TVC has listed heritage status. Which is good, because it means they can’t just knock the building down when the BBC moves out, like the developers wanted to!

Location: Fleet Street, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: A quick shot whilst walking from one meeting to another in London today. I liked the way different parts of the scene were framed in the glass.

Title: Framed
Location: Barbican, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Another few days’ contracting in London this week, and I took a different route to the office where I was working this morning. This colourful wall is on a building on the edge of the Barbican estate. I thought it suited the Treasure Hunt Theme #63 – A Frame Within A Frame.

Title: Bournemouth Blue
Location: BarCamp Bournemouth
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: A mixed bag of weather today in Bournemouth – sunshine and showers. I was mainly inside at BarCamp Bournemouth3, so it didn’t matter too much. But I crept outside for a few minutes while the sun was shining to take this shot of the main entrance to Bournemouth University building where the event was held. I thought it made a good shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #44 – Blue.
