Day #1458

Day #1458 Title: Peaceful Moorings – December
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: With the month rapidly dwindling, I decided to head to Sandford Mill Lock for my final scenic location shot of the year. The light was rather flat, and I had resigned myself to December’s shot not being particularly interesting when along came a couple of canoes to add some foreground detail. So there it is, Treasure Hunt Theme #12 – Scenic Location – December

Day #1428 Title: Peaceful Moorings – November
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Almost out of month, I finally managed to get back to Sandford Mill Lock for my scenic location shot. We seem to have gone directly from summer to winter with the trees compared to October’s shot. The light wasn’t great, but I won’t be able to get back there before the month is done, so this will have to do.

Day #1367 Title: Peaceful Moorings – September
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It was a very sunny day for the most part, but when I went to go out, the weather had turned rather misty. Still, a different look for my scenic location in September – the leave are beginning to turn. Treasure Hunt Theme #09 – Scenic Location – September.

Day #1307 Title: Peaceful Moorings – July
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Finally the sun came out! I hot-footed it down to Sandford Mill Lock to take July’s image – I’m running out of month. Not a lot has changed from June’s shot – apart from the reeds have grown a little and the closest boat on the left bank has disappeared. So I decided to give this a bit of post-production to make it a little different.

Day #1273 Title: Peaceful Moorings – June
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: A scorcher of a day, for a change – perhaps Flaming June has arrived? Better late than never! After nearly frying at a very enjoyable geocaching event, I realised today would be my last opportunity to photograph my scenic location for June as I’ll be too busy for the rest of the month. So I took a trip to Sandford Mill on the way home. The reeds have grown and the sky is blue – a bit of a change from the May version. Another shot done for Treasure Hunt Theme #06 – Scenic Location – June.

Day #1246 Title: Peaceful Moorings – May
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It’s been seven weeks since my last visit to my monthly scenic location – I realised I needed to do it today or I’d be out of month! The trees have filled out and the reeds are growing fast. Pity the sky was rather cloudy, but never mind. Treasure Hunt Theme #05 – Scenic Location – May.
