Day #1439

Day #1439 Title: Scaffold Monkeys
Location: Broadgate Circle
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: Back to Broadgate Circle this morning, this time for a different view of the building works which are going on. The scaffolders are beginning to take down the structure, so I guess they are finishing up now. I liked the contrast between the red crane and the blue sky, and the tiny figures way up high, giving a great sense of scale and perspective. I don’t mind heights, but rather them than me!

Day #1368 Title: Many Minds One Heart
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Another warm sunny day – not quite what is usual for the end of September! I went into town to see some friends for coffee and cake and thought the coat of arms looked rather nice in front of the blue sky. Here is some more info on the meaning. I’m not too sure what the two bunches of grapes are doing hanging from the ironwork though!

Day #1336 Title: Blue Sky And Steam
Location: Mangapps Railway Museum – Burnham-on-Crouch
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: More steam again today, this time the big sized stuff at Mangapps Railway Museum with some Chelmsford Flickr friends. The weather was rather variable, eventually we got the sun poking through the clouds long enough for a few shots of the steam service puffing up the line.

Day #1250 Title: Cubism
Location: Barbican, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Another day freelancing in London, and what a blue sky day it was! I was kicking myself that I’d only got my GF1 with me, as I saw plenty of potential images if I’d had a DSLR with zoom lens. But never mind, I still enjoyed pottering around the Barbican on the way back to the station this evening.
