Day #1343

Day #1343 Title: Sunflowers At The Bar
Location: Bluebird Restaurant, King’s Road, Chelsea
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Another day for socialising, this time I went to Terence Conran’s Bluebird Restaurant in Chelsea to meet friends for lunch in the swanky surroundings. Apparently the building was a garage when first built in 1923 for the Bluebird Motor Company, which was associated with Sir Malcolm Campbell. We were all fascinated with the Art Deco architecture – and were also impressed with the great value Sunday lunch special deal we got! All very tasteful.

Day #1159Title: Thirsty Work
Location: Alea Casino, Leeds
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Think Visibility is tomorrow, so I drove to Leeds for the setup day today. I was helping out with the audio-visual and technical stuff at the Alea Casino’s conference suite. Plenty to do, and it was thirsty work. This was the remains of a softie as we have to get up stupidly early tomorrow to be in the venue before the delegates.

Day #1134Title: Above The Bar
Location: Benfleet
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: After a meeting in Leigh-on-Sea, I searched out a place for some dinner before heading to judge in Benfleet for the evening. I found a Harvester pub nearby and was rather taken with the shadows from the overhead lights and glasses on a shelf above the bar. This is straight out of camera.
