Title: Dockside Colour
Location: Wivenhoe, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: Dad and I took a quick walk along the Quayside this morning. Although the weather was predominantly grey and typically cement lid, I did manage to find a splash of colour next to the small local fishing fleet, moored up for the holidays.

Title: The Edge Of Sunlight
Location: Barbican Centre, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: I made the most of some sunlight this morning, on my way to the office. Good job too, since this evening it turned nasty and the rain set in for the night.

Title: Holding It Together
Location: ARU, Chelmsford
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I might as well come right out with it – I hate November! I always feel low and depressed and the weather is usually rubbish too. We’ve had some grey old days so far this month. So a little burst of sunshine was very welcome today. I was at a business seminar at Anglia Ruskin University, run by Chelmsford Borough Council. This was a piece of sculpture I found during quick lunchtime stroll on the campus in between some excellent sessions on motivation – just the kick up the backside I needed! I felt this was a good omen – so one for Treasure Hunt Theme #49 – Good.

Title: On The Forest Floor
Location: Galleywood Common
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Strobist: 1 x YN560 from camera left with Stofen softbox @ 1/8.
Notes: I took a walk on Galleywood Common this afternoon in search of fungi. But there weren’t many about so I had to find some other subjects. These beach leaves had fallen on a dead birch tree across the path.

Title: Beads And Braid
Location: Ingatestone
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I visited a friend this evening who is a very keen flower arranger. She particularly likes contemporary arrangements and had this rather nice vase on her dining table. It was a bit too big to photograph well with the flowers in too, so I homed in on the details of the pot itself.

Title: Blue Glaze & Foliage
Location: Wivenhoe
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had to visit Colchester today to pick up my 24-105mm lens which has been at the menders. I took the opportunity to have lunch with Mum & Dad, who’s garden always looks nice, whatever the season. I love the deep blue glaze of these pots on their patio, which look great even when they are just full of foliage.
