Title: Colourwash
Location: Royal Academy, London
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent the day in London with some folks from GNPC on a massive photowalk around London. One of the stops was at the Royal Academy to view the Eyewitness exhibition (Hungarian photography of the 20th Century). We had a brief rest in the courtyard before heading off – this image was made there.

Title: Peaceful Moorings – July
Location: Sandford Mill Lock, Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Finally the sun came out! I hot-footed it down to Sandford Mill Lock to take July’s image – I’m running out of month. Not a lot has changed from June’s shot – apart from the reeds have grown a little and the closest boat on the left bank has disappeared. So I decided to give this a bit of post-production to make it a little different.

Title: Through The Square Window
Location: Heybridge Basin
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I enjoyed an evening photoshoot with the folks from GNPC today. We went to Heybridge Basin which is always good for photographic opportunities. Several of us were also in need of some dinner, and so we ordered food at The Jolly Sailor and sat outside waiting for it. Initially, the light was rather flat and boring so we didn’t mind not taking picutres, but then the sun broke through and the food still hadn’t arrived! I took this shot of the pub door from the outside table whilst waiting for my plate to arrive. One of the three themes we were looking for during the shoot was squares, so this fitted the bill nicely. I was also very pleased to have found another willing stranger for my project before everyone else turned up.
