Day #965

Day #965 Title: i h c
Location: Fryerning
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I wasn’t feeling too well for most of the day, so I stayed at home and tackled some indoor jobs. But by about 7pm, in between the showers, I felt the need for some fresh air. So I headed over to Fryerning for a quick walk near the Church. This is a carving on one of the headstones in the churchyard.

Day #940 Title: Holed Above The Waterline
Location: Tollesbury
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: I went on a photowalk with the GNPC folks this evening, in Tollesbury. Unfortunately, the light wasn’t great so I decided to concentrate on taking some details of the boats and nautical paraphernalia. This was the side of a fibreglass boat – not sure how seaworthy it is! But I liked the colours, shapes and textures.

Day #786 Title: From Tree To Frame
Location: Stock Church
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I took advantage of a brief period of sunshine on the way home from a meeting this afternoon. The light was nice just as I was passing through Stock, so I stopped off at the church and had a quick look around. This is one of the glazed porch windows, showing the trees reflected in them. Loved the grain of the wood.

Day #741 Title: Dichromatic: Yellow & Purple
Location: At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: After the last few days’ exertions, I was really too tired to go out today. Plus the snow has got to that horrible half-slush-grey-mush stage, and the sky was equally dull. So I turned to the props box for little inspiration and found these bits and pieces to make an image. I took several shots and couldn’t decide which I liked best, but eventually plumped for this version. It also suits the Treasure Hunt theme “A Feather” (well, stretching it to two!). I think I might continue the series with different combinations, which follows on from my 2008 mini-project Exploring Colour.
