Title: Tongues
Location: Ingatestone
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: After a much needed lie in and lazy morning, I was invited to a friend’s for lunch unexpectedly. We enjoyed a long catch up and lovely food, and I rather took a shine to the shape of her salad tongues as we were about to dish up.

Title: o V l
Location: Maldon
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Well, it’s a milestone I wasn’t ever intending to aim for, but here we are! What better way to celebrate than to go out on a photoshoot with friends, I thought. Although the friends played ball, the weather didn’t. So four of us trudged around a very wet quayside at Maldon for a while and then decided to retire to the pub! This was the locking mechanism of one of the hold covers on a Thames Barge, moored at the Quay. It was the best I could do given the miserable weather – so perhaps a good one for Treasure Hunt Theme #58 – Frustrated!

Location: London Colney
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: We were back again at the North London Society of Model Engineers and playing with their outdoor train sets for the second Geek Steam BBQ. This is on top of the boiler of lovely little steam engine Sweet Pea.

Title: Urban Fragment #7
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I haven’t done any Urban Fragments recently, but I was attracted to the mottled paint job on this sign next to the Canal. It’s for the National Cycle Network, route 1 of which runs alongside the water.

Title: Reflective
Location: Shepherds Bush, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Last day at the BBC today, and after a long debrief meeting, the team went out for a nice Thai nosh at a local restaurant. This is my napkin reflected in the shiny metal plate on the table.
