Title: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: A quick shot of the Christmas tree today. I liked the contrast in colours between the stars and the background.

Title: Icing
Location: Galleywood Common
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: After several flat grey days which I spent holed up indoors, the sun finally poked its head out this morning. So I got off my bottom and had a potter around Galleywood Common and then the canal near Ulting. I loved this ice-laden leaf backlit by the sun.

Title: Frosty Bin
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: We had the first really heavy frost of the approaching winter this morning. I wasn’t too keen to go out early, but thought I should take the opportunity to look for some images in the garden. This is a macro of frozen water drops and fingers of frost on top of the garden refuse bin.

Title: Memories Of Past Times
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: I inherited this set of dominoes from my grandfather. I remember playing with them as a small child, when we went on family visits to Leicester, where my grandparents lived. They are in a rather tatty box, adorned with typical 1950’s graphics on a torn label on the front. I just looked up Glevum Games and apparently they made toys and games in Gloucester between 1894 and 1956, so that would certainly fit in with the styling. I thought they would make a good find for Treasure Hunt Theme #29 – Something Precious.

Title: Pink Tips
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: I finally pulled my finger out and did some gardening today. The grass was in desperate need of a trim again. These pretty pink flowers are blooming on a succulent I have growing in one border – I’m afraid I have no idea what it’s called though.
