Title: Winter Feeder
Location: Wivenhoe
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100-400mm EF f/4.5-5.6 L IS
Notes: I spent a very enjoyable half hour this morning watching the birds have their breakfast at my parents’ house. They have a little window next to the stairs which looks out over the back garden and is the perfect spot for watching our feathered friends at the bird table and feeders. I was particularly pleased with this shot of a Great Tit, (Parus major).

Title: Paws For Thought
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: The snow is beginning to turn rather slushy, although it will still take a few days to melt. I went outside to try starting the car this morning (I couldn’t get the doors open yesterday due to the central locking being frozen!), and I found these perfect kitty prints in the snow. You may complain about getting cold feet in this weather, but just imagine having to walk around on bare feet outside…

Title: Here We Go Again!
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: More snow returns to the South East, and allegedly there will be another fall overnight. I’m hoping to go on a snowy photoshoot tomorrow, let’s see how that goes! In the meantime, I was cowardly and stuck the camera out of the kitchen window for this shot. Brrr! It was cold!

Title: Cracking Up
Location: At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Another bitterly cold day, and no snow to make it worth going outside for. I actually ventured briefly into the garden to grab this shot of the ice in the Tsukubai Japanese bowl. It has been pictured on Day #147 and Day #709 already, but only Dai has previously found it frozen.

Title: Hole In The Wall
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I took a long walk around Chelmsford yesterday on the hunt for Blue Plaques. On my way, I passed this rather intriguing display set in the garden wall of a house. There are several different sculptures along the wall, but I liked this one best. Good to see a householder with a sense of fun! Even Dai took a shine to the little blue van at the top right.

Title: Pink Tips
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: I finally pulled my finger out and did some gardening today. The grass was in desperate need of a trim again. These pretty pink flowers are blooming on a succulent I have growing in one border – I’m afraid I have no idea what it’s called though.

Title: A Splash Of Red
Location: Cricklewood, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I went to a friend’s BBQ this afternoon, and found this colouful flower in a shady corner of the garden. No idea what it is, but it looked good against the background of Hosta leaves and wet pebbles.
