Day #836

Day #836Title: Alistair’s New Friend
Location: Nazeingwood Common, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Alistair and I went for a long geocaching walk today, covering 7 miles and finding 16 boxes. Early on, we had to cross a field full of horses, most of whom ignored us. But this friendly fellow insisted on coming over for a fuss. I think the horsey and Alistair took rather a shine to each other, but sadly we had to leave him in his field and carry on towards the next find.

Day #788

Day #788 Title: The Rusty Railing
Location: White’s Bridge, Margaretting
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Another field flooded, this time by the River Wid (off to the left of the frame), between Margaretting and Galleywood at White’s Bridge. Not surprising after the amount of rain we have had. I made the most of a brief period of sunshine on my way home from Ingatestone this morning. It might have looked warm, but it was blowing a howling gale too, as you can see by the ripples on the surface of the floodwater.

Day #733 Title: Muddy Track
Location: Hanningfield
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Out and about on another geocaching mission with Alistair today. We found quite a few, and although the sun came out quite a bit, the scenery wasn’t overly inspiring. This reminded me of the day though – quite a few of the tracks were very muddy and we walked back to the car with boots 2Kg heavier than when we started!
