Title: Missed The Boat
Location: Wivenhoe
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Visiting Mum and Dad this afternoon, and almost too late I realised there was a nice sunset going on. So I jumped in the car and raced down to the Quay in Wivenhoe to see if I could get a shot or two. Sadly, I think I missed the boat – it was pretty much over by the time I got to somewhere which was an interesting foreground.

Title: Sundown At White’s Bridge
Location: Margaretting
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I enjoyed giving my talk this evening on 1000+ Days of Photography to Upminster Camera Club. On the way to pick up a friend who wanted to come along, I stopped at White’s Bridge to take a quick shot of the setting sun over the Wid Valley.

Title: Storm Passing
Location: Little Baddow
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After a revolting raining day, the sun broke through right at the end of the day. I took a trip to Little Baddow and the canal at Paper Mill Lock for a few pictures before the heavens opened again.

Title: Divergence
Location: Ingrave/Herongate
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I had a meeting in Brentwood this afternoon, and took the opportunity to have a walk around Ingrave on the way home. I liked the way these two tracks in the stubble diverged.

Title: Western Skies
Location: Writtle
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It was a pretty miserable day for most of the time, but by about 7pm the sun came out. Not being one to waste the opportunity of decent light, I hot-footed it to Writtle for a geocaching walk. This was the scene looking west towards the sunset.
