Day #720

Day #720 Title: On The Cycle Path
Location: Central Park, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Today I met up with local Flickr friends Rodney and Bev for a photowalk in Chelmsford. We started in Central Park and made our way (via a nice, warm coffee shop!) out to Baddow Meads and along the river. While we were in Central Park, this cyclist passed us by on the bike half of the path. I just managed to catch him as he rode by on the ice.

Day #718

Day #718 Title: White Wonderland
Location: Galleywood Common
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I could so live somewhere where the snow settles and stays for weeks on end. I love the stuff. And today we got the first decent fall of this winter. So I took off for a 4-mile walk around Galleywood Common, where I made this image, close to the location of Day #399. Then I braved a trip to Ulting in the car, and another 1.5 mile walk to see All Saints Church in the snow. Lovely.

Day #400

Day #400Title: Still Hanging Around
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: My back garden faces North and doesn’t get much sun, so I had to spend a good half hour shovelling snow this morning to make a clear path to the car. Then I found it was also covered with about 4″ of snow, and the roads were looking pretty icy, so I gave up and decided to stay at home and get some jobs done instead!

Day #376Title: Hoar Frost Outline
Location: Tanfield Tye
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: There was still plenty of freezing fog and hoar frost around today. This was on a cowparsley seed head which I found during my travels today. I liked the way that you can still see the skeleton of the plant underneath.
