Title: Christmas Window
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Some of the neighbours have gone rather overboard with their flashing light displays in the front window. A straight shot produces something rather crass, but a lot of defocussed bokeh is quite nice.

Title: 2-4-6 8 Motorway
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Another day of head down and get on with it, with little chance to get out and about for pictures. But I rediscovered this colourful little folding ruler in a cupboard I was turning out the other day, and I’m a bit of a sucker for funky stationery. It also rather suits this week’s 52Themes2009 subject Music (Interpret A Song). So here you have it, “2 4 6 8 Motorway” by the Tom Robinson Band.

Title: I Caught A Rainbow

Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: A murky day today, but I noticed that I had managed to catch a rainbow in my office 🙂

Title: Sunflower Kitchen
Location: Calne, Wiltshire
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Today I went to stay with friends David & Rachel who used to live close by but moved to Wiltshire about 10 years ago. We have kept in touch since, but I haven’t been to see them for ages. So as I was on the way to Somerset for the weekend, I arranged to stop by and catch up with them and their two kiddies as another [email protected] event. This lovely sunflower was one which they grew in their garden, and was in a very simple vase on their kitchen table.

Title: Indecision
Location: Writtle, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It was time for another Chelmsford Flickr walk today, and this time it was just myself and Rodney who turned up to finish off the last section of the Cenetenary Circle. Actually, we are the only two who have walked the full route. It wasn’t the most interesting of lanscapes – more fields but this time mostly already harvested – but it felt good to have finished it off after 5 months! This image was one I spotted near the beginning of the trek near the River Can at Writtle. I’ll treat today as another [email protected] event, even though it’s happened over such a long period of time, and with others coming with us along the way.

Title: Quadrants
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: After a few days off at the beginning of the week, it was nose back to the grindstone today. So I didn’t get a chance to go out for any pictures. This is a little juggling ball I found in a geocache the other day.
