Day #652

Day #652 Title: Crewed By Pigeons
Location: Heybridge Basin, Maldon
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After a business meeting at lunch time, I decided to stop off for a quick walk at Heybridge Basin to get some fresh air and walk off lunch! The marina was full of colourful boats, but this old wreck in the estuary also caught my eye. It doesn’t look very seaworthy – and only the pigeons dared stand on board.

Day #595 Title: Up The Creek
Location: Tollesbury, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: When I suggested another mammouth caching trip, this time around Tollesbury Marshes, it seeemed like a good idea at the time. Alistair didn’t say no, so off we set. 8.5 miles and 14 caches later, we had finished! This was a view towards the end of the walk when the sun was beginning to sink down low. I liked the gentle colours and meandering creek.

Day #444

Day #444Title: Gladys
Location: Heybridge Basin
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After a meeting first thing this morning in Maldon, I took a quick trip to Heybridge Basin for some photos, before returning home. The light was pretty variable, so I decided to home in on some details rather than taking a big blank sky. This was on the side of Thames barge Gladys, in the basin for some maintenance. She is normally moored at Harwich.
