Title: High Street Reflections
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8
Notes: I survived two trips into town today, madness I know. But I needed something for tomorrow to go with The Present™ and the first one I bought was not the right size when I got it home. So I had to make another lightining raid late in the afternoon for a refund, and search out an alternative which actually turned out to be much better. And so did my photography – on the first trip, the weather was grey and horrible and I didn’t take a single frame. But later on, the dusk was fallling and some nice lights were on in the High Street. I have photographed this window before, on Day #65, but it never hurts to revist things, you can often make a different shot. And with that, we have reached the end of another year. Will you join me as I continue my journey through 2010?

Title: Impressions Of Christmas
Location: Wivenhoe
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8
Notes: Another abstract vision of Christmas, just to be a bit different.

Title: Christmas Window
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Some of the neighbours have gone rather overboard with their flashing light displays in the front window. A straight shot produces something rather crass, but a lot of defocussed bokeh is quite nice.

Title: Dusk Over Hylands
Location: Widford, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After being cooped up writing documentation for much of the day, I nipped out for a little while this afternoon to chase the sunset. This was from Widford Church, looking west over Hylands Park – a nice spot for sunset watching.

Title: Cabaret!
Location: Roundhouse, Camden
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: After dodging torrential rain this afternoon travelling to and from a client meeting, I met up with good friend Julian for the evening. We had a lovey Thai dinner in Camden and then went to La Clique cabaret at The Roundhouse. An excellent show featuring jugglers, terrible magicians, acrobats and all-round performers. We weren’t really supposed to take pictures, but I managed to sneak this one quickly during the encoure. Another lovely [email protected] event.

Title: Menacing Clouds
Location: Little Leighs
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: At least I managed to get out and about today! After a meeting in Great Leighs, I stopped off briefly, not far from the site of Day #687’s image to take a picture of the big, billowing clouds on the horizon.

Title: Rainbow’s End
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 75-300mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I was doing more house-blitzing today, and having turned out a load of rubbish from varioius cupboards, I headed to the tip with a carful. Just after I’d unloaded everything the heavens opened, so I was lucky to avoid a soaking. When I got home I saw this rainbow from my study window – I wonder if the neighbours have a pot of gold stashed somewhere? Perhaps they should turn out a few cupboards too!
