Notes: The Birthday Fairies™ delivered my present a couple of days early today. I’m being very good and not opening it until 1st January. But anticipation and excitement is definitely building, even though I already know what’s inside. I’m not giving any more away for the moment. But suffice it to say that I will be getting a lot of use out of the contents during 2010. Can’t wait!

Notes: The snow is slowly melting now – the stage which I hate – and since I was busy at home all day, I had to resort to another staple – a shot of the car. It’s been rather useful over the past 2 years: Day #49, Day #302, Day #347, Day #371 and Day #400! This time, I was really pleased to catch part of the snow mid-drip.

Notes: This week’s 52Themes2009 subject is Food. Normally, I don’t have any problem with that! But I’ve been struggling to come up with anything remotely original for a picture, and today is the last day I can take it. So I decided a bit of lateral thinking was required. Around Christmas (it’s only next week, Yikes!), we can get a bit naughty with the amount we eat. So here is a nice, calorie-free meal for you – go on, you won’t put on a pound. Especially as these are not much bigger than a £1 coin 😉

Notes: This is my Tsukubai bowl in the garden. Once again, it’s full of rainwater and there are dead leaves inside which really need clearing out. I photographed it on Day #147 too. But this time I think it’s more of a metaphor for my recent moods – various factors have had me up and down of late. I’m just not sure when I get up in the morning if I’m going to feel like the bamboo, calmly floating on top of it all – or like the leaves, submerged, and in need of fishing to the surface. Hey ho. I guess it’s the Winter Blues.
