Day #637

Day #637 Title: Swirls
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Before leaving Anna’s this morning, it was great to have coffee with her mum and dad Hazel & Peter. They moved in next door to my parents when I was about 2, and stayed for nearly 20 years, and I grew up with them around. They moved to Devon and now Someset, and I haven’t seen them in a very long time,  so it was really nice to catch up with them before heading home. This image was just one which I saw when I got home, it’s a box with a swirly hologram pattern on the top.

Day #636

Day #636 Title: Beck’s Vier
Location: Buckland Dinham, Somerset
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It was foggy and damp this morning but the sun came out and this caught my eye at the campsite. BathCamp was really enjoyable, and I rounded off the day by going to visit my friend Anna and her family in Yeovil afterwards. We haven’t seen each other in at least 7 years. It was great to catch up again and meet her family. Unfortunately, we were so busy chatting that I never took any photos of them! At least my 40@40 is giving me the impetus to get to see people I’ve been meaning to visit for far too long.

Day #634

Day #634 Title: Sunflower Kitchen
Location: Calne, Wiltshire
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Today I went to stay with friends David & Rachel who used to live close by but moved to Wiltshire about 10 years ago. We have kept in touch since, but I haven’t been to see them for ages. So as I was on the way to Somerset for the weekend, I arranged to stop by and catch up with them and their two kiddies as another 40@40 event. This lovely sunflower was one which they grew in their garden, and was in a very simple vase on their kitchen table.
