Title: Dusk Over Hylands
Location: Widford, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After being cooped up writing documentation for much of the day, I nipped out for a little while this afternoon to chase the sunset. This was from Widford Church, looking west over Hylands Park – a nice spot for sunset watching.

Title: Looking Out
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Wasn’t feeling too great today, and although I did get out for a bit of fresh air this afternoon, the light was rubbish by then. So this is a shot out of the kitchen window. Not very inspired, I’m afraid.

Title: Mind The Gap – Redux
Location: Near Highwood
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I spent quite a while driving up to Leeds this afternoon, and went out towards the M11 via the A414. I decided to take a picture at the same location where I did Mind The Gap on Day #197. I’ve been meaning to return to it for a while, but the light has not been right, or I’ve not had time to stop. It’s quite a different look to the previous shot.

Title: Mr Blue Sky
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: As often happens when you get back from a trip, today I found I was having a bout of post-holiday blues. It wasn’t too bad in the morning when I needed to go out shopping and get some jobs done in town. Then I spent the afternoon catching up on things at the computer. Come this evening, the weather had improved at least, and white fluffy clouds were scudding across the blue sky. But that just made me feel sad at having to have my nose back to the grind. Ah well, I expect I’ll get over it. And I suppose I should be celebrating the milestone of #550 today too. There’s some wine in the fridge, perhaps I shall toast it later.

Title: Skylight
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I needed to photograph some rooves today for a website project. This wasn’t actually the roof in question, but I liked the light shining on the regimented slates with the fluffy clouds behind.
