Title: On The Cycle Path
Location: Central Park, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Today I met up with local Flickr friends Rodney and Bev for a photowalk in Chelmsford. We started in Central Park and made our way (via a nice, warm coffee shop!) out to Baddow Meads and along the river. While we were in Central Park, this cyclist passed us by on the bike half of the path. I just managed to catch him as he rode by on the ice.

Title: Fluid Shadows
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I managed to catch some briefly interesting light in town this lunchtime, after a morning meeting. This is down by a new walkway along the River Chelmer.

Title: Acer Shadow
Location: Prested Hall, Kelvedon
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I went to another business networking event today (I’m turning into a Lady Who Lunches!). After the grey clouds had passed, the sun came out and I was able to take a few shots around the venue – this rather nice (if slightly wind-scortched) Acer cast a shadow on the outside wall.

Title: The Shameful Shadow
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I knew I was in for a long day sat in front of the computer today, so I stuck my nose out into the garden just after breakfast to see what the weather was like. I immediately noticed the sun casting this shadow of a weed onto the Snow Lantern in my Japanese garden. Unfortunately, at the moment, rather than being as well-groomed as it was on Day #146, the garden is now looking rather more like it did on Day #216! Hence the shame…

Title: The Lamp Post
Location: Plaça Reial, Barcelona
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: We spent the middle part of the day in the apartment partaking of the lovely cool air conditioning, but headed out about 5pm down to the Ramblas as Vanessa had a Spanish lesson in the area. I took a wander around and found a pleasant little Italianate square called Plaça Reial, where this shadow caught my eye. After her lesson, I met up with Vanessa again and we walked to a posh hotel for a glass of bubbly, followed by a great French restaurant for a late dinner.

Title: Standing In The Shadows
Location: Wansford, Cambridgeshire
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Another scortching day, and we were stuck in the car for long periods driving back from Leeds. This was a quick pit stop at the Nene Valley Railway for tea, and I wandered around the goods yard for a few minutes to stretch the legs.

Title: Shadow Play
Location: Lincoln’s Inn Fields
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: It was another gorgeous sunny day, and we went for a walk around central London before meeting friends in the evening. Alistair decided to fool about while I was taking this one.
