Title: Bubble Chamber
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Not a lot of inspiration today – it was another grey, grim, rainy affair. But then I found this bubbly mint Aero to have with a cuppa, and things didn’t seem so bad.

Title: Crewed By Pigeons
Location: Heybridge Basin, Maldon
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After a business meeting at lunch time, I decided to stop off for a quick walk at Heybridge Basin to get some fresh air and walk off lunch! The marina was full of colourful boats, but this old wreck in the estuary also caught my eye. It doesn’t look very seaworthy – and only the pigeons dared stand on board.

Title: Soft Green
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Another damp and miserable day. On my way back from a meeting, I happened to spot the same patch of Oxalis which I had taken on Day #577. So I gave it a similar Orton treatment, but it’s still quite a contrast from the previous shot.

Title: Soft Pink
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: I was at a bit of a loss as to what to photograph today. I went into town for a meeting this morning but didn’t feel very inspired by anything I saw there. And I knew I wanted to get something in the can while the sun was shining. So in the end, I went with a tried and tested method and wandered around the garden until something took my fancy. Straight out of the camera this looked quite soft anyway, so I thought I would give it a more pronounced Orton treatment.

Title: Pink Ladies
Location: Shenfield
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: We went for a quick caching expedition late this afternoon, around a little bit of common land in Shenfield. These plants were being backlit by the sun, and I thought they looked rather nice. A little bit of Orton gave them an extra soft appearance.

Title: Disposable
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: After the last few days of sunshine, today dawned grey and muggy. I was poking around the house looking for something to take when I came across this set of wooden cutlery. I’ve no idea where I got them, but thought they would look good against a wooden chopping board. I liked the grain which came out, once I’d done a bit of fiddling with Photoshop.

Title: A Touch Of Burgundy
Location: Roxwell
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Despite the sunny weather, I only managed to take about a dozen images today, and this was the best of them. Seeing it was a similar subject and point of view to yesterday’s shot, I thought I would give it a similar treatment. Let’s hope I come up with something more original for tomorrow.
