Title: Breakthrough
Location: Burnham-on-Crouch
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had intended to take a trip to Maldon for the annual Mud Race today, but I got half way there and the traffic was silly, so I detoured to Burnham instead. The sun came out as I walked along the promenade, breaking through the clouds. I took a few pictures and then enjoyed a nice cup of tea and a toasted teacake in a little café looking at the water.

Title: Through The Mists
Location: Hylands Park
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: On the way to Mum & Dad’s for Christmas, I noticed the mists hanging low on the ground in Hylands Park, so took a short walk to make some pictures before continuing my journey.

Title: Menacing Clouds
Location: Little Leighs
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: At least I managed to get out and about today! After a meeting in Great Leighs, I stopped off briefly, not far from the site of Day #687’s image to take a picture of the big, billowing clouds on the horizon.

Title: Afternoon Light
Location: Little Leighs
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: After my lunchtime meeting near Great Leighs, I noticed some wonderful afternoon light and could not resist a quick potter around the lovely church at Little Leighs on my way home. I do like Autumn when we get light like this – so much better than the wet and windy we have had recently.

Title: Mind The Gap – Redux
Location: Near Highwood
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I spent quite a while driving up to Leeds this afternoon, and went out towards the M11 via the A414. I decided to take a picture at the same location where I did Mind The Gap on Day #197. I’ve been meaning to return to it for a while, but the light has not been right, or I’ve not had time to stop. It’s quite a different look to the previous shot.

Title: Evening Glow
Location: Galleywood Common
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: Another day where the light was best right at the end. This was a shot on Galleywood Common as I made my way home from a meeting. I liked the warm glow and misty recession in the distance.

Title: Flaming Trees
Location: Navestockside
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: This afternoon was lovely and warm, and the sun came out while I was out for a short walk. The evening light picked out the trees against the blue sky.
