Title: Odd Men Out
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Another day of meetings, driving and horrible rain. By the time I got home, I had to find my own light and thought this might make a nice image. It’s a tealight holder lit from inside with a desk lamp.

Title: Glass Bubbles
Location: IBM, South Bank
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: This evening we were setting up for BarCamp London7 at IBM’s offices on the South Bank. This was a rather interesting piece of glass outside one of the conference rooms.

Title: Coffee Morning
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It was my usual networking group’s coffee meeting this morning, at our favourite independent café in Chelmsford. And then I had another one to one meeting in the same place afterwards. And a couple of hours later, a second – I might as well set up office there! And so I was a bit wired having drunk rather more coffee in one day than I would normally in a week! Still, the light was nice first thing and I thought this shot of a latté summed up my day nicely.

Title: The Empty Vase
Location: Harlow Common
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I stopped in at my friend Anita’s in Harlow Common this afternoon, on my way to judge a Print Competition for Harlow Photographic Society. It’s rare for her not to have a vase full of flowers on the kitchen windowsil, but I saw the potential in the Geraniums in the hanging basket outside. This week’s 52Themes2009 is Rare, and I’ve not been very inspired by it, so apologies for the shamefully tenuous connection here!

Title: Crisp White
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Despite having a good walk this afternoon, I didn’t take a single picture. The light was a bit rubbish, to be honest, and the views weren’t terribly inspiring. So I have to resort to a glass of crisp white for today’s image, which I had with my dinner. I’ve done red before, but this is the first time for a glass of Gallo Turning Leaf Chardonnay.

Title: Glass Textures
Location: Bricklayers Arms, Fitzrovia
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: PubStandards has rolled around again (the month flies by), and this is the rather attractive patterns in the pub window, seen from outside on a barmy summer’s evening.

Title: Hummus Bros
Location: Holborn, London
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Despite the wonderfully sunny weather, I didn’t have time to take many pictures today. This was the only one I managed, on the way to meet friends in London for a Geek Dinner.
